The Alchemy of Inner Fire into Salty Water
The Heat is Turned Up
The weeks before the Fire Horse Year (Feb 17) have been intense.
The collective was burning. (Or rather, spiking. It’s been burning for a long while now.)
We’ve been flooded with waves after waves of monstrous information—release of files, war, nature disaster, collapse.
I’m taking a break from the news again, deleted my Instagram account and reduced my digital consumption to a bare minimum.
I’ve become very deliberate about who has access to my energy and where I place my attention.
I’ve heard from many sensitive people how the intensity of the collective is mirroring in their own lives.
A friend with Iranian roots I hadn’t been able to reach for weeks online send me a letter—briefly recounting the pain of watching the violence in his country.
Another friend experienced flood in Portugal.
Others are experiencing sudden layoffs, quitting jobs, an inability to settle, plans repeatedly collapsing, and outbursts of rage, desperation, confusion, grief.
Myself, I’ve felt a specific karmic pattern resurface without being able to ignore it or tone it down this time. It led me to set a very strong boundary and soften into unexpected support at the same time.
We’re all in this big pressure cooker together.
While the sky hovers above in a mirroring constellation.
As above, so below.
As within, so without.
As the universe, so the soul.
The Great Change grows more and more visible.
Create Vessels to Pour Your Energy Into
Whatever journey you’re on right now, I’d suggest to stay away from the news, dark rabbit holes, sensational spirals, or any energy-sucking environments. As much as possible.
Divert your attention inwards.
Find your anchors, strengthen your roots, and don’t be afraid of the storm.
A list of inspiration
Turn off your digital devices and take a break.
Feel your breath. Sense the center of your body.
Cry as often as you need.
Find an undisturbed place to scream.
Journal out the chaos in your mind.
Run. Move. Shake it off. Dance.
Make art. Make something with your hands.
Come back to your body.
Hug a tree. Take a walk in nature.
Ask Mother Earth to lift your burdens. Turn to God.
Talk to someone who understands.
Stay with community.
Turn up the music.
Dive into silence.
Let the chaos rip you open.
Find stillness in the midst of noise.
the divine feminine is raging.
mother earth purging through our bodies.
The Alchemy of Inner Fire into Salty Water

liquid fire
This collage was made spontaneously as an attempt to capture the sentiment of the heat, the transformation from invisible to visible, the overflow.
I kept thinking about how much the natural elements mirror our inner states.
fire as passion and rage.
water as tears and volatility of emotion.
air as breath and surrender.
earth as embodiment of the soul.
Initially, I wanted to portray all elements, but in the end reduced it to fire and water only.
