Introducing Germany Diaries
Living in Germany has been my default mode for most of my life. While I’m very happy about creating categories for places that I have traveled to and writing about my time there, Germany has somehow felt like the least inspiring place to be and to write about.
Which is not fair.
After spending three years abroad and returning to my home country, many things have changed.
The country has changed, and I have changed.
And even though I don’t plan to stay here longterm, there are many things to appreciate, to be grateful about, and some that I want to write about.
This is not a travel blog, and I’m not writing for performance.
Somehow, it feels natural and good to introduce this category. To stop denying that I’m here, and that tons of daily adventures are happening even though I’m not ‘travelling’.
Life is everything but boring, and I wish to write more short-format, raw posts like this in the near future.
I want to feel closer to my website, write without filter about a range of topics, explore weird thought experiments, and stop caring about an audience and SEO standards.
I have not looked into my analytics for months, so I don’t even know if anyone has visited lately.
Writing for an audience of one (which is me) feels incredibly liberating.
My only concern is creating something that I like.
